MEDI Overview for ACEs and CCEs

MEDI

MEDI is a system maintained by HFS that is most typically used by providers to verify Medicaid recipients eligibility. For ACEs and CCEs, MEDI will also serve the function of providing access to the IHC Provider Portal where the plans can view their panel roster on a daily basis. This panel roster show all clients enrolled with the plan. The IHC provider portal is currently in production with accurate data. It is accessed only through MEDI.

Data Source

The Client Enrollment Broker (CEB, Maximus) will enroll clients via phone, web and paper applications. ICEB will send these enrollments to HFS for approval, and HFS will pass approved enrollments on to IHC, which will load them into MEDI. Information can be accessed in MEDI by clicking on "IHC" after login.

Frequency of Data Delivery

The panel roster available in MEDI will be updated each day. It will reflect the enrollments from 24-48 hours previous, to accommodate the approval process. (Please note: there is also a monthly panel roster. This will be delivered via sFTP from IHC, not via MEDI. A description will be forthcoming.)

MEDI Registration Details for Plans

While many PCPs are already individually registered, it is essential that all plans register in MEDI
also. Any plan with an HFS number can register. The registration process verifies the identity of a registrant via his/her driver's license/state ID. This person can then give access to colleagues.

MEDI Resources

Assistance with MEDI and IHC Provider Portal

On-site Training

IHC will arrange an on-site visit from an IHC PSR upon request. A PSR visit will include a MEDI training for all members of the plan who will be pulling down the roster. Please contact IHC to arrange this.

Provider Files

These are not provided via MEDI, but rather will come through the plans, establishing connectivity with IHC. For information on provider files and connectivity, see additional documentation and contact IHC.
