MMAI Award Announcement

The Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) has selected eight health plans to serve clients in the Medicare-Medicaid Alignment Initiative (MMAI) and other initiatives in two regions of the state. The health plans were selected based on their demonstrated ability to offer a holistic approach to delivering coordinated care for clients eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid (dual eligibles). The initial awards are anticipated to extend for a maximum of three years. The MMAI is pending federal approval. Enrollment in the MMAI program is expected to start in the fall of 2013.
