Long Term Care Services and Support (LTSS) Workgroup
This is a workgroup of the Quality Care Subcommittee
AIM of workgroup: Provide Recommendations to the MAC and HFS on LTSS quality including any racial, ethnic disparities and delivery of services. Identify metrics to measure.
Topics:
- The LTSS workgroup reports out to the Quality Care Subcommittee. Minutes are reported through the Quality Care Subcommittee.
- Review steps that can be taken to improve provider and public awareness of long term services and supports.
- Review steps that can be taken to improve policy for financing, cost effectiveness, affordability, interagency implementation of Title II of the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), personal choice, delivery, management and quality of LTSS for seniors and persons of any age with disabilities who require LTSS
- Advise on the best ways to simplify interfaces between various state agencies and their divisions and the LTSS provider community.
- Review and advise on the interface and coordination of LTSS in Managed Care Entities
- Encourage development of quality programs for LTSS
- Make necessary recommendations to the Medicaid Advisory Committee
