Revalidation Town Halls (2025)

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requires state Medicaid programs to revalidate all actively enrolled Medicaid providers at least every five years. This requirement is for ALL Medicaid providers. 

Revalidation deadlines are based on a provider’s enrollment date. Providers may check their enrollment status and revalidation deadline by logging into their IMPACT account. Failure to revalidate will result in providers being terminated from the Medicaid program. Once terminated, providers will NOT be able to bill for clients and all payments will cease. Retroactive reinstatements are not allowed, in accordance with federal regulations.

In addition to sending revalidation notices 90 and 30 calendar days before the revalidation cycle deadline, the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) is hosting monthly, virtual Provider Enrollment Town Hall Meetings to help providers navigate the IMPACT Enrollment System and answer general questions about the revalidation process.
