Report HFS Employee Misconduct

The Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) Bureau of Internal Affairs (BIA) is authorized to investigate allegations of misconduct made against any HFS employee or others doing business with HFS. As a full-bodied investigative unit, BIA investigates many different allegations, including, but not limited to, waste, abuse, misuse of public property, improper time reporting, and mismanagement.

BIA will not investigate allegations that are unrelated to its jurisdiction, including, but not limited to, those generally related to city, county or federal government employees. BIA may also decline to investigate complaints that BIA decide should be dealt with as a HFS management issue.
