Health Insurance Programs

Illinois Health Insurance Marketplace

If you are uninsured and need health coverage, you may be eligible for financial help to buy health insurance through the Illinois Health Insurance Marketplace.  Coverage starts January 1, 2014. Also starting January 1, 2014, Medicaid will provide coverage to adults ages 19-64 without dependent children who have monthly  income of $1,300 per individual and $1,780 per couple. Visit the GetCoveredIllinois.gov for more information about these health coverage options. There you can answer some questions about income and family size. Based on the answers, you will be guided to apply for health insurance through the Marketplace or Medicaid.
