School-Based Dental Services

School-Based dental programs provide care to meet the oral health needs for children who may not receive dental care otherwise. A group of oral health professionals made up of dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants will visit some schools and perform dental exams, cleanings, and sometimes dental sealants. There are numerous School-Based providers for the state of Illinois.  If your child’s school offers School-Based dental services a permission slip will be sent home. You may also contact your child’s school to see if this is a provided service.
