Customer and Stakeholder Listening Sessions: Medicaid Managed Care Experience

We want to hear from you!

HFS will be holding feedback sessions to hear from customers and stakeholders to inform our upcoming procurement process for the HealthChoice Illinois (HCI) managed care plan. The RFP design work is anticipated to begin around November 15th, 2024, with an RFP published Summer 2025. The new contract opportunity for HCI will begin January 1, 2027.

Who do we want to hear from?

HealthChoice Illinois customers, providers, stakeholders, and advocates please share your experiences with us. Most Medicaid customers are part of HealthChoice Illinois. You’re a HealthChoice Illinois customer if you selected a managed care organization after you joined Medicaid. We are interested in learning the following from you:

Because the HealthChoice Illinois procurement is subject to the procurement code, HFS will be listening and registering your comments and will not be able to answer questions or respond during these sessions. If you have any questions regarding the HCI procurement process, please submit via email to: HFS.Procurement@illinois.gov. We will compile and post all answers via FAQ.

Why are we doing this?

These listening sessions are your chance talk about your experiences with HealthChoice Illinois managed care. Hearing customer and stakeholder input will enable HFS to better serve enrollees by improving access and quality within our Medicaid program.
