Care Coordination Proposed Rulemaking
On March 11, 2011, the department filed second notice with the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules (JCAR) on the proposed amendment that allows the department to implement the Medicaid Reform Bill passed by the legislature in January by mandating that beneficiaries of the department's programs receive their medical care through entities that deliver the care in an integrated holistic manner to produce better health outcomes at lower cost. The link below is to the second notice document, which includes a summary of comments, and the department's response and revisions to the rule as a result of comments. There is also a link to the original proposed rulemaking that was published in the Illinois Register on January 14, 2011.
