Provider Notice issued 07/12/2024

To:
Home and Community-Based Service (HCBS) Providers
Date July 12, 2024
Re:
DELAY in Implementation of Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) for the Illinois Department on Aging (IDoA)

This notice informs providers of a delay in implementing Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) for customer personal care services (PCS) provided under the Illinois Department on Aging (IDoA). Implementation has been delayed until further notice. This delay applies to customers receiving PCS in the Persons Who are Elderly Waiver.

The EVV program will not Go-Live 11/01/2024 as previously scheduled. Once issues, questions and concerns are resolved and additional feedback from providers is received, implementation activities will resume. Providers will be notified once a new Go-Live date has been scheduled.

The scheduled bi-weekly EVV Townhall Meetings are not impacted by this delay and will continue as scheduled. The Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) encourages providers to continue to participate in these sessions to increase their knowledge and preparedness for the future implementation. Additional information regarding these meetings can be found in the Provider Notice issued 06/07/2024 (illinois.gov).

For questions regarding this notice, contact the HFS Bureau of Waiver Operations Management at HFS.EVV@illinois.gov.
