Re:
Bi-Weekly Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Townhall Meetings

Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) is mandatory for all Medicaid-funded Personal Care Services (PCS) and Home Health Care Services (HHCS) pursuant to the 21st Century Cures Act.pdf  ("Act").  The Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) implemented EVV for PCS providers on September 1, 2023, and for HHCS providers on December 31, 2023.

Beginning Tuesday, June 18, 2024, HFS will host bi-weekly EVV townhall meetings in collaboration with the State’s EVV vendor, HHAeXchange. The purpose of these meetings is to offer in-scope providers and third-party EVV vendors technical assistance, address common concerns, and relay state policy updates pertaining to EVV.

These meetings will focus on the EVV application to Personal Support Workers (PSWs) and PSW agencies billing Illinois Department of Human Services’ Division of Developmental Disabilities (DHS DDD); Home Health Care Service (HHCS) agencies billing DHS DDD, Division of Specialized Care for Children (UIC-DSCC), State Plan Medicaid, HealthChoice Illinois (HCI) Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), Medicare-Medicaid Alignment Initiative (MMAI) MCOs; and third-party EVV vendors.

Meeting agendas will be developed based on feedback solicited from attendees during the townhall meeting registration process. Recordings of the meetings will be uploaded to the HFS EVV website.

Individuals may register for one or all of the six EVV townhall meetings at the below link.  Please note each Webex based EVV townhall meeting has a 1,000-person attendance limit. Provider agencies and EVV vendors are encouraged to limit attendance to one or two representatives per meeting.
