The purpose of this notice is to notify certain providers that attestation of the Illinois Medicaid Electronic Health Records (EHR) Incentive Program for the 2015 program year is extended to May 31, 2016
The May 31, 2016 extension applies only to eligible providers who have registered for the program at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) website, but have not yet attested in 2015 to the Illinois Medicaid EHR Incentive Program.
Certain providers have experienced delays with re-validation in the electronic Provider Enrollment System. Therefore, the Department has extended the attestation period for these providers. Providers who have not registered with CMS by May 1, 2016 cannot attest for the 2015 program year, but may register and attest for the 2016 program year.
