Re:     Reimbursement Rate Increase Effective August 01, 2017

This notice informs Community Mental Health Providers (CMHPs) that Public Act 100-0023 provides for an increase in the Medicaid reimbursement rate for services rendered by certified community mental health centers identified in 59 Ill. Adm. Code 132, effective for dates of service on and after August 1, 2017.

Payment increases are identified in the Community Mental Health Services Fee Schedule posted on the HFS website. 

Resolution for fee-for-service CMHC claims with dates of service on or after August 1, 2017 that were submitted and paid, or are pending payment, prior to programming implementation for the updated reimbursement rates:

The Department will adjust fee-for-service claims previously submitted and adjudicated for payment with dates of service on or after August 1, 2017 to reflect the enhanced reimbursement rate on qualifying services.

Providers are encouraged to contact the individual HFS contracted Managed Care Entities (MCE) for resolution of any CMHC claims rendered to MCE members with dates of service on or after August 1, 2017 that were submitted and paid, or are pending payment, prior to the MCE’s implementation of the updated reimbursement rates.
