This notice is a follow-up to the provider notice issued May 17, 2024, regarding the ground ambulance rate increase effective January 1, 2024.

The earlier notice informed providers that they could now void and rebill claims that were initially submitted and paid at the old rates for dates of service beginning January 1, 2024. The Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) has now posted the MEDI Transportation Billing Guide to assist transportation providers in the void and rebill process for ambulance claims.

Ambulance providers should be using the updated Ambulance Transportation Fee Schedule.
