Re:      Dental Programs in the School Setting per Public Act 102-0095

 This notice confirms Department coverage of dental programs in the school setting as required under Public Act 102-0095.

This Act requires that the Department, by administrative rule, administer and regulate a school-based dental program that allows for the out-of-office delivery of preventive dental services in a school setting to children under 19 years of age. No provider may be charged a fee by any unit of local government to participate in the school-based dental program administered by the Department.

 
The Department already administers the All Kids School Dental Program. Administrative rule amendments are in process to 89 Ill. Adm. Code Section 140.420 to formalize the program.
