Re:      Chapter M-200, Handbook for Providers of Durable Medical Equipment and Supplies

            Change Regarding Multiple Participants Billed on Same HFS 2210 Claim Form

 

 

 

 

This bulletin identifies a billing change for the HFS 2210, Medical Equipment/Supplies Invoice.

 

Effective with claims received on and after October 1, 2018, the Department will no longer allow multiple participants’ services to be billed on the same HFS 2210 claim form. Each HFS 2210 claim form may only identify one Recipient Identification Number and the services associated with that patient. Claims received on and after October 1, 2018 that contain more than one Recipient Identification Number will be returned to the provider for correction.  

 

Appendix M-1, Item 8 – Service Sections has been revised to reflect the accurate billing instructions.
