| Re: | Health Alliance Medicare-Medicaid Alignment Initiative (MMAI) Enrollees |
This Notice informs providers that Health Alliance will no longer be part of the MMAI program after December 31, 2015.
Health Alliance will mail a notice (pdf) to their MMAI enrollees no later than November 1, 2015, informing enrollees of this change as well as their coverage options. One option available to Health Alliance MMAI enrollees is to voluntarily enroll in the Molina HealthCare of Illinois MMAI plan by contacting Client Enrollment Services at 1-877-912-8880 (TTY1-866-565-8576). Enrollees who do not opt-in to Molina’s MMAI plan or enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan will automatically be enrolled in fee-for-service Medicaid and Original Medicare with a Part D plan effective January 1, 2016. For more information about Original Medicare, Medicare Advantage and Medicare Part D plans, MMAI enrollees should contact Medicare at 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227), and TTY users should call 1-877-486-2048.
Enrollees must actively select Molina HealthCare of Illinois if they wish to remain in a MMAI plan. Under current policy, the Department does not passively enroll individuals in areas without two plan choices and Molina will be the only MMAI plan option in Central Illinois effective January 1, 2016.
Please note that Health Alliance Connect will continue to be offered to Family Health Plan (FHP) and Integrated Care Plan (ICP) enrollees. Only the Health Alliance Connect MMAI plan is terminating.
General information regarding Care Coordination is on the Department’s website. Any questions regarding this notice may be directed to the Department’s Bureau of Managed Care at 217-524-7478.
