The Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) will offer a webinar on Wednesday, August 27 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to provide an introduction to the ABE module of the new Integrated Eligibility System that Illinois began using last fall. The focus of this webinar will be on those features specific to LTC providers.
This webinar will provide an overview of the ABE module and, in particular, focus on those aspects relevant to applications for individuals applying for LTC coverage. There will be some review of specific policies, but the emphasis will be on using the ABE application.
HFS would ask that you pre-register for this webinar by visiting the Application for Benefits Eligibility (ABE) for Long Term Care GoToMeetings Registration webpage. This webinar will only be offered through GoToMeetings. We suggest that you take the time, before the webinar, to test your computer settings to make sure you will not have trouble with the transmission. You can test your computer settings by visiting the GoToMeeting Connection Test webpage.
Note, HFS will also be offering three in-person seminars in September covering this and other topics. The dates and locations of these seminars will be announced shortly. However this webinar will provide a high level introduction that may make the subsequent sessions more useful.
