DME Supplies required to be Billed through the Pharmacy System

Re:​ DME Supplies required to be Billed through the Pharmacy System​

Effective June 1, 2009, pharmacies enrolled to provide durable medical equipment and supplies will be required to bill various medical supplies through the pharmacy system using the eleven-digit NDC. Attached is a listing of the supplies that must be billed through the pharmacy system.

 

Claims submitted for these supplies through the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) claims processing system will reject for dates of service of June 1, 2009, and after. The Department’s rejection message will be “D80 - Item has NDC/Rebill pharmacy claims system.”
