Implementation of Statewide Vendor for School Based Administrative Claims

The purpose of this notice is to provide an update to Local Education Agencies (LEA) regarding the implementation of a statewide vendor for administering school based health services program administrative claims. The department has issued previous notices on October 30, 2008, and December 24, 2008, stating that LEAs would only be permitted to submit administrative claims through the statewide vendor, beginning with the April 1, 2009, calendar quarter. However, we will postpone the requirement that LEAs participate in the statewide random moment time study and utilize the statewide vendor for claim submission until the quarter beginning July 1, 2009.
If the July 1, 2009, implementation of a statewide vender poses concerns with submitting an administrative claim for the April 1, 2009, through June 30, 2009, quarter, inform the contract manager in writing no later than March 1, 2009. Any such letters should be addressed to:
