 Agency Message Regarding Recent Federal Actions

Dear Partner,

The Department of Healthcare and Family Services is committed to keeping you informed as we continue to assess the impacts of potential federal actions on the Illinois Medicaid and Child Support Services programs. We know that reports this week about a freeze on federal financial assistance and state access to federal payment systems have created a great deal of concern and uncertainty. We are currently able to access the federal payment system.

We share your concern, and we will be working to evaluate how federal proposals and actions will impact Illinois’ Medicaid and Child Support programs. As we continue this work and as we learn more from our federal partners, we will share important updates with you on an ongoing basis. If you experience issues or irregularities moving forward, you can report those to HFS by emailing HFS.MedicaidDirector@illinois.gov.
