 New X12 835 Electronic Remittance Advice Download Option

The Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) now offers a new business-to-business (B2B) 835 file download option through the use of the Agency’s CAQH CORE Web Service Portal. Information regarding registration, authorization and available functionality for the portal is located within the Agency’s CAQH CORE 835 Companion Guide.

If you are already registered to use the portal for eligibility (270/271) and claim status (276/277) transactions but also want to use the portal for 835 downloads, you will need to re-register. To register, contact the Bureau of Technical Support at  HFS.EDITradingPartner@illinois.gov to request the CAQH CORE Web Service Trading Partner Application and Agreement. Return your completed documents to the same email address.
