 Nursing Facility Support Component Rate Increase and Ventilator Add-on Rate Increase Effective January 1, 2024

This notice informs nursing facilities that a 12% increase to the support rate component has been included in the January 1, 2024 rates that are posted to the Long Term Care Reimbursement website.

In addition, in accordance with Public Act 103-0102, the add-on rate for ventilator services has been increased from $208 per day to $481 per day. To be eligible for this enhanced care payment, nursing facilities must meet the criteria and requirements under 89 Ill. Adm. Code 147.335

These rate changes have been programmed in the payment system and are paying at the correct reimbursement rate for both fee-for-service (FFS) and Managed Care Organization (MCO) enrollees. No action is needed by the provider.
