This notice informs Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facilities (SMHRFs) that as of July 1, 2024, and pursuant to Public Act 102-699, payment rates for occupied three (3) and four (4) bed rooms will no longer include the 5.0% rate increase that was implemented on July 1, 2022.

Impacted SMHRFs will have two rates: one rate for one (1) and two (2) bed rooms and one rate for three (3) and four (4) bed rooms. The revised Medicaid Rate List for SMHRFs effective July 1, 2024, has been posted to the Long Term Care | HFS (illinois.gov) rate reimbursement page.
