​Re: Critical Access Hospital Supplemental Payment – First Half of FY 2024

In accordance with 305 ILCS 5/5A-12.7, the Department has posted the methodology and resulting payments for the first half of FY 2024 Critical Access Hospital Supplemental Payment Program.  The program provides $10M annually for critical access hospitals for delivery of perinatal and OB/GYN services, behavioral healthcare including SUDS, other specialty services and telehealth services.  The first half of FY 2024 payments will be processed soon and paid to the hospitals through a HealthChoice Illinois managed care plan, separate from any other regular monthly supplemental payments.  The methodology and payments can be accessed at the following link:
