​Re: Confirmation of Coverage for Compression Sleeves per Public Act 103-0091

This notice confirms the Department of Healthcare and Family Services’ (HFS) coverage of compression sleeves. This coverage is required under Public Act 103-0091.

The Act requires HFS to provide coverage for compression sleeves that are medically necessary to prevent or mitigate lymphedema. As HFS already provides compression sleeves under the fee-for-service (FFS) program and managed care plans, no coverage changes are necessary.
