​Re: Multi-Factor Authentication Pharmacy Illinois Rx Portal Effective August 31, 2023

This notice informs providers that the Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) has updated access to our Pharmacy Provider Portal with a multi-factor authentication (MFA) process.

The Provider Portal will be updated to require MFA to access services effective August 31, 2023. Existing users will need to create an account with a One Healthcare ID. This message will be displayed on the home page of each application.  

Please note, this process is only for existing users. New users are currently unable to be added to the Portal. HFS will notify providers once the process allows for new users to be added.

Existing users should follow the two instructional documents on the Illinois RX Portal pharmacy webpage to create a One Healthcare ID and log in.
