Re: Webinar: April 18, 2023 – Resuming Medicaid Renewals

In follow-up to the Provider Notice Issued 04/04/2023 | HFS (illinois.gov), the Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) will host an informational webinar for all Long Term Care (LTC) providers related to the ending of continuous coverage for Medicaid customers that has been permitted under the public health emergency (PHE).

Medicaid customers have had continuous coverage since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, Congress has ended the pause on annual eligibility verifications (also known as “redeterminations”, “REDEs” or “renewals”).

This webinar will provide an overview of the resumption of the Medicaid renewal process for customers residing in LTC settings.

Topics will include:

·         Types of redetermination forms

·         Who will need to complete the form

·         When to return the redetermination form

·         Submitting the redetermination form

o   ABE Provider Portal

There will also be time allocated for provider questions. The webinar will be recorded and posted to the HFS website for those unable to participate.
