To:    Long Term Care Facilities - Nursing Facilities (NF), Supportive Living Program (SLP), Medically Complex for the Developmentally Disabled Facilities (MC/DD) and Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facilities (SMHRF)

Re:   Expedited Payment Status

This notice informs Long Term Care providers that the requirement to reapply for expedited payment status annually is being reinstated.

During the public health emergency (PHE), nursing facilities (NF), Supportive Living Program (SLP) providers, Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facilities (SMHRFs), and Medically Complex for the Developmentally Disabled (MC/DD) facilities were not removed from expedited payment status due to failure to reapply.

Due to the announcement of the end of the PHE effective 5/11/2023, the requirement to reapply annually is being reinstated. Providers that have not reapplied by 6/30/2023, will be removed from expedited payment status and returned to normal payment parameters.
