Re:      Delay in Implementation of Modifier 93 and Place of Service Code 10 to July 1, 2022

This notice announces a delay in implementation of Modifier 93 and Place of Service Code 10 to dates of service beginning July 1, 2022. This delay impacts claims paid under the Medicaid fee-for-service program and the HealthChoice Illinois managed care plans.

By informational notice dated March 21, 2022, the Department stated providers should initiate usage of new Modifier 93 and new Place of Service Code 10 with dates of service beginning April 1, 2022. That implementation date has been extended to dates of service beginning July 1, 2022.
