Re:      Adaptive Behavior Support (ABS) Service Rate Update Effective January 15, 2022

 This notice informs providers of an increase to Adaptive Behavior Support (ABS) service reimbursement rates effective January 15, 2022. This increase affects reimbursement rates for Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) services under both Medicaid fee-for-service (FFS) and the HealthChoice Illinois managed care plans for dates of service beginning January 15, 2022. 

The Department is increasing the base rate for RBT services to $13.00 per ¼ hour unit. This rate increase will impact all services involving an RBT.

The Department's updated ABS Fee Schedule is on the Department's Medicaid Reimbursements webpage.
