Re:      Community-Based Behavioral Services Handbook - Reissue

The Department is re-issuing the Community Based Behavioral Services (CBS) Handbook. Updates are identified in the Revision History of the handbook.

The Community Based Behavioral Services Handbook contains information and guidance for providers who provide Medicaid Rehabilitation Option – Mental Health (MRO-MH) and Targeted Case Management (TCM) services, as detailed in 89 Ill. Adm. Code 140.453, to customers in the Department's Medical Programs.

Please Note:  HFS is aware of the description change to POS 02, and implementation of POS 10, effective 1/1/2022 per CMS' Place of Service Code Set.  HFS guidance regarding those changes is forthcoming.
