This bulletinupdates the Handbookfor Local Education Agencies, Appendix 2 - Procedure Codes Billable byLocal Education Agencies. This applies to claims billed to the Department forparticipants covered under both Medicaid fee-for-service and HealthChoiceIllinois managed care plans.

 

Providersfollow national coding updates as they are released by the applicable codingauthority. The following updates to Appendix 2 are based on earlier changes tothe CPT code set:

 

 

  •  96111 - Developmental Testing becameobsolete 01/01/2019
  •  96112 - Developmental Test Administrationand Report, first 60 minutes, became effective 01/01/2019
  •  96113 - Developmental Test Administrationand Report, each additional 30 minutes, became effective 01/01/2019
  •  96152 - Individual Social Work,units of 15-minute increments, became obsolete 01/01/2020
  •  96153 - Group Social Work, units of15-minute increments, became obsolete 01/01/2020
  •  96158 - Individual Social Work,initial 30 minutes, became effective 01/01/2020
  •  96159 - Individual Social Work, eachadditional 15 minutes, became effective 01/01/2020
  •  96164 - Group Social Work, initial30 minutes, became effective 01/01/2020
  •  96165 - Group Social Work, eachadditional 15 minutes, became effective 01/01/2020
