Re:      Reimbursement Rates effective July 1, 2020

This notice provides updated information on the reimbursement rates effective for services provided between July 1, 2020 and September 30, 2020.  It is a follow up notice to the July 7, 2020 Provider Notice.

 

HFS has finalized the calculations of the July 1, 2020 rates for Nursing Facilities (NFs), Supportive Living Program (SLP) providers and Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facilities (SMHRFs).  The rates have been posted to the HFS website and provided to the Managed Care plans.  Included in the posted rates sent to the plans is an adjustment to set the minimum regional wage adjustor to 1.0.

 

The Department has not yet received federal approval for the State Plan Amendment to increase the regional wage adjustor floor used in the nursing component calculation.  Until approved, HFS will not include the new rates when pricing the fee-for-service claims.  HFS will automatically adjust any claims priced at the lower rates after federal approval is received.

 

Providers should continue to submit bills on their regular timelines to assure they meet the timely filing requirements.
