Re:      Correction to the Second Quarter of Calendar Year 2020 Managed Care Organization Hospital Access Program Payments

 

 

 

 

 

This notice identifies a correction process for the Quarter 2 2020 managed care organization hospital access program payments (MCO-HAP).

 

The calculation of directed payments for the April and May MCO-HAP payments contained an error in the data pull at HFS. HFS has corrected that error by adjusting the MCO-HAP payments for June so that the sum of all three payments will correctly reflect what each hospital should have received for the quarter including the COVID-19 relief increase. The correction was made by calculating the entire quarter’s directed payments, the increase to directed payments due to COVID relief, and pass-through payments based on a corrected data pull. HFS has adjusted the June payments so that the three payments for the quarter total the correct amount.

 

A report of the quarterly payment totals by hospital is attached to this notice, so that hospitals may confirm their payments for the quarter add up to the correct amount.
