Re: Urgent Webinar - COVID-19 and SASS Youth Psychiatric Hospitalization
This notice invites hospital providers with child/adolescent psychiatric inpatient units to participate in an urgent webinar regarding COVID-19 and SASS youth in need of psychiatric hospitalization.
On Thursday, March 19th, the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) will be hosting a webinar for hospitals with inpatient psychiatric units for children/adolescents to discuss new protocols due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus 2019) outbreak.
The webinar will focus on requirements for medical clearance, triaging SASS youth seeking inpatient psychiatric services outside of the Emergency Department (ED), videoconferencing from the admissions evaluation, and standard protocols to prevent spread of COVID-19 within the inpatient psychiatric unit.
