Re:      Safety Training Certification Programs

 

 

This notice announces the Department will accept new applications for Safety Training Certification Programs.

 

As required under Public Act 95-501 and 89 Ill. Adm. Code 140.490(f), all providers of non-emergency Medicar and Service Car transportation must certify that all drivers and employee attendants have completed a safety training certification program approved by the Department every three years.  

 

Currently, the Department has three approved Safety Training Certification Programs. However, due to high demand for the training, the Department is currently accepting applications for additional Safety Training Certification Programs.

 

Applications for businesses to become an “HFS Certified Safety Provider” will be accepted until May 1, 2020, and can be emailed to HFS.Transportation@illinois.gov.
