Re: Wage Rate Increase Effective July 1, 2018 for Specified Personnel Serving Individuals with Developmental Disabilities in Institutional and Community-Based Settings

This notice informs providers that Public Act 100-0587 provides for provider rate increases to fund a minimum of a $0.50 per hour wage increase for specified personnel serving individuals with developmental disabilities, effective July 1, 2018.
Community based organizations serving individuals with developmental disabilities shall receive rate increases to fund a $0.50 per hour wage increase for non-executive staff. To meet the required Chicago minimum wage effective July 1, 2018, organizations located in Chicago shall receive rate increases sufficient to provide a $0.54 per hour wage increase.
Facilities licensed by the Department of Public Health under the ID/DD Community Care Act (210 ILCS 47/) as ID/DD facilities, and facilities licensed under the MC/DD Act as MC/DD facilities shall receive rate increases to fund a $0.50 per hour wage increase for non-executive staff. To meet the required Chicago minimum wage effective July 1, 2018, ID/DD facilities and MC/DD facilities located in Chicago shall receive rate increases sufficient to provide a $0.54 per hour wage increase for non-executive staff. These rate increases will also apply to facility and developmental training rates.
