Re: PBMS Update - Accessing the Illinois Provider Portal
This notice informs providers of the updated Illinois Provider Portal registration process registration process as part of the upgraded Pharmacy Benefits Management System (PBMS).
Beginning November 8, 2017, providers and authorized individuals must use their unique IMPACT Single-Sign-on User ID and password to login to the Illinois Provider Portal instead of their e-mail address and password.
Providers currently able to access the Illinois Provider Portal:
Beginning November 8, 2017, providers and authorized individuals will be required to enter their IMPACT ID and password to access the Illinois Provider Portal instead of their e-mail address and password. On first login, users will be asked to create three security questions which are used if a password needs to be reset.
Providers currently unable to access the Illinois Provider Portal:
Review the instructions for details on registering for the Illinois Provider Portal. Registration e-mails will be sent to the IMPACT Domain Administrators for each eligible provider beginning November 13, 2017. Once registered for the Illinois Provider Portal, the administrator will send out registration e-mails to authorized individuals. Instructions are also available on the ILLINOIS Rx Portal webpage under the “Documents” tab.
To access the Illinois Provider Portal, each individual must:
· have a unique IMPACT Single-User Sign-On ID
· be associated with the provider in IMPACT
The Department encourages providers to register and use the Illinois Provider Portal for secure web-access when processing and managing pharmacy benefits including:
· Viewing participant eligibility
· Submitting Prior Authorizations (PAs)
· Checking the status of submitted PA requests
· Viewing Preferred Drug List (PDL) criteria
· Viewing drug formulary information
The updated system gives users alternatives to phone and fax for submitting and follow- up of PAs.
