Re:     Reimbursement Rate Increase Effective July 1, 2017

This notice informs providers that Public Act 100-0023 provides for a 2.8% increase in the Medicaid reimbursement rate effective July 1, 2017, for all Medicaid-eligible residents of Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facilities (SMHRFs).

 

Revised SMHRF Rates reflecting this increase are posted on the HFS website on the LTC reimbursement rate page.

 

Since updated rates were not entered into the system until the end of August, HFS will process adjustments for any claims that have already been accepted and priced at the previous rate.  Providers do not need to void and rebill their July 2017 claims.
