Fiscal Year 2015 Hospital Outpatient Advances

 The purpose of this notice is to provide information on Fiscal Year 2015 Hospital Outpatient Advances.  The Department acknowledges the delay in processing outpatient claims as a result of the implementation of Hospital Outpatient Rate Reform, and the impact it has had on numerous hospital providers. To assist with lessening the financial burden, HFS is offering hospitals the option to receive an advance equal to four (4) months of outpatient claims based on 2013 shadow pricing. Hospitals are also being given the opportunity to choose how the Department recoups their advance.

 

If your hospital chooses to receive an advance payment, please print the Advanced Payment Plan Agreement for your hospital located on the HFS Hospital Reimbursement Notifications webpage.

 

The agreement requires the provider to choose a recoupment option along with name and signature of the provider representative. Please scan the completed document and return to HFS.BCHS@illinois.gov no later than October 10, 2014.
