Personal Needs Allowance Increase

To:​ Long Term Care Facilities - Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities (ICF/IDD) only; and Community Integrated Living Arrangements (CILA)​

This Notice informs providers that Public Act 98-0674 provides for the increase in the personal needs allowance to $60 per month for residents of Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities licensed under the ID/DD Community Care Act.

Public Act 98-0674 also provides for the increase in the personal needs allowance to $60 per month for residents of Community Integrated Living Arrangements (CILA) licensed under the Community-Integrated Living Arrangements Licensure and Certification Act.

The increase is effective for dates of service beginning on or after September 1, 2014.
