The purpose of this notice is to provide questions and answers regarding participant liability and copayments. Please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) (pdf) regarding when a participant is responsible to pay for services and co-payments.

The Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) provided guidance on copayments in a Provider Informational Notice dated March 29, 2013, titled Cost Sharing Effective April 1, 2013.
