Change in Prescription Drug Coverage for Beneficiaries in Voluntary Medicaid Managed Care Plans

Re:​ Change in Prescription Drug Coverage for Beneficiaries in Voluntary Medicaid Managed Care Plans​

 

 

The purpose of this notice is to advise pharmacies that effective with dates of service April 1, 2013, and after the drug benefit will no longer be carved out of the voluntary Medicaid managed care plans in Illinois. Effective April 1, 2013, the voluntary Medicaid managed care plans will be responsible for prescription drug coverage for their enrolled beneficiaries.

 

Questions regarding the administration of the pharmacy benefit for beneficiaries enrolled in a Medicaid managed care plan should be directed as follows:
