To comply with federal regulations regarding disproportionate share hospital (DSH) payments, the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services has contracted with Myers and Stauffer LC, a certified public accounting firm, to perform mandated audits.

The following letters from the department and from Myers and Stauffer explain the audit process and what is required of the hospitals. A Webinar was conducted on Tuesday May 3, 2011, to provide more specific instructions to hospitals, as well as answer questions. A copy of the Webinar, as well as additional information on the audit process, can be found on the Myers and Stauffer Web site.
