The Handbook for Advanced Practice Nurses, Chapter N-200, Policy and Procedures for Advanced Practice Nurse Services has been updated and is being re-issued by the department. Providers are encouraged to review the handbook in its entirety. This handbook, in conjunction with Chapter 100, Handbook for Providers of Medical Services, Chapter A-200, Handbook for Physicians and Chapter F-200, Handbook for Providers of Podiatric Services, provides information necessary for providers to receive payment from the department for APN services.

The re-issued Handbook for Advanced Practice Nurses is available on the department’s Web site.

It is in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF). In order to view or print the handbook, you will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. Adobe Acrobat Reader is available to download FREE from the Adobe homepage.

Printed copies of the handbook are available upon written request. To ensure delivery, specify a physical street address when making a request for a paper copy. Submit or fax your written request to:
