Re: New Consultant for State MAC Pricing
 

The department is pleased to announce a new partnership with Goold Health Systems to establish and maintain State MAC reimbursement rates. Goold Health Systems is a recognized leader in Pharmacy Benefit Services Administration (PBSA) and provides the department with invaluable expertise and knowledge of pharmaceutical market dynamics.

The department and Goold Health Systems are committed to developing and maintaining State MAC reimbursement methodologies that provide economically fair and consistent rates for our pharmacies, while at the same time ensuring that rate methodologies are cost effective for the department. The department also recognizes that changes in pharmaceutical prices and product availability occur regularly, and therefore, Goold Health Systems will review and update MAC rates periodically to accurately reflect changing market conditions. A comprehensive listing of MAC prices, rate updates, and rate review request forms shall be available on the State MAC Web site.

In addition, providers are encouraged to contact the Goold Health Systems MAC Unit helpdesk with questions regarding State MAC rates, drugs on the State MAC rate list, changes in your ability to purchase drugs at or below the applicable State MAC rate, product availability, or other questions, comments, or concerns about the State MAC list. Please note that Goold Health Systems provides only consultant services to the department and is not a policy-making entity for the state.
