New Name of Dental Program Administrator - DentaQuest

New Name of Dental Program Administrator - DentaQuest​

This notice is to inform all long term care providers that the Medical Assistance Programs' dental administrator, Doral Dental Services, is changing its name to DentaQuest effective November 1, 2009. DentaQuest is the name of Doral Dental's parent company. The same process will continue to be used to locate enrolled dentists in your area and to arrange for the required dental services to be provided.

 

To locate a participating dentist in your area call DentaQuest at 1-888-286-2447 and provide your zip code to locate an enrolled dentist in your area. The facility should contact the identified dentist and schedule an appointment for the resident.

 

Dental coverage for adults aged 21 years and older include one oral exam with a new dentist, X-rays, extractions, fillings, crowns and root canals for front teeth only, treatment for pain, complete upper and lower dentures every five years, and denture relining every two years. Routine teeth cleaning are not a covered service. For ICF/DD residents, prophylaxis and periodontal care are the responsibility of the facility. An ICF/DD receives a $.40 add-on to their Medicaid per diem to cover these procedures.
