The Handbook for Providers of Healthy Kids Services: Preventive Health Care for All Kids (HK-200) has been updated its entirety and is now available.

The handbook is in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF).  In order to view or print the document, you will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. Adobe Acrobat Reader is available to download FREE from the Adobe homepage at: http://www.adobe.com

The handbook provides updated information on:

  • HFS’ managed care initiative, assuring a “medical home” through Illinois Health Connect or a Managed Care Organization under contract with HFS

  • Screening services provided under the Illinois’ Early, Periodic, Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) Program, focusing on the components of the Well Child screening examination

  • Developmental milestones, anticipatory guidance, and referral resources for each of the Well Child Screening components

  • Billing codes used most frequently by providers performing components of a well child screening examination
