Billing for Anesthesia

The purpose of this bulletin is to advise providers of changes in the department’s billing requirements for anesthesia. The Handbook for Providers of Physician Services, Topic 283.1 Anesthesia has been rewritten to reflect the changes. Providers are encouraged to review the topic in its entirety.

 

The Handbook for Providers of Physician Services, Chapter A-200 has been revised to reflect the billing changes and is available on the department’s Web site at: <http://www.hfs.illinois.gov/handbooks/>. If you do not have access to the Internet, or need a paper copy, printed copies are available upon written request. You need to specify a physical street address to ensure delivery.
